May 29,  · referencing Give Me Your Love, LP, Album, RE, Unofficial, UM Strange but in my view i'd says this is worth just under the price of original press and seems it is just as rare. This here is prob the best pressing to have out of all of them (apart from the original press if u can even find that at a reasonable price!!!)/5().

Feb 20,  · This is a really a lovely record anchored by two monster street hits - Give Me Your Love and You Can't Turn me Away (which were paired together as a single preceding the release of the album). It's long been out of print and fetching ridiculous prices for a copy. There was a brief cd-repressing in the late 90's on Charly/5(53).

Reissue from this classic soul/disco album - including favourites like Toy Box, Give me your love, You can't turn me away, Searchin. Seventies gold.. produced by Roy Ayers. Tip!

During this time Sylvia cut one solo single with Uno Melodic ("Give Me Your Love"/"You Can't Turn Me Away"). Roughly one year later her sole album for the label, `Give Me Your Love' was released. The single "Give Me Your Love" enjoyed renewed interest and went as high as #23 on the Club Play Charts/5(12).

Roughly one year later her sole album for the label, `Give Me Your Love' was released. The single "Give Me Your Love" enjoyed renewed interest and went as high as #23 on the Club Play Charts. Fuelled by a boogie beat with Sylvia's slinky vocals sailing smooth above a bubbling bass, it is a perfect pop dance moment climaxing with her smooth /5(12).

UK double vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition of this album from the Soul/Boogie temptress produced by Roy Ayers. It was originally released on Ayers' own Uno Melodic label, with a bespoke set of arrangements for the honeyed tones of Eighties Ladies singer Sylvia Striplin, who would also provide vox for the Jazz Fusion group Aquarian Singers/5(12).
  9. Dir says:
One-time member of Aquarian Dream and Eighties Ladies, Sylvia Striplin was part of Roy Ayers’ Uno Melodic set up and it was on that imprint that this classic album was issued. The title track ‘Give Me Your Love’ is a huge soulful disco number that bears the hallmarks of the Eighties Ladies sound, the lazy slink of the stepper has Roy.
